Full body safety harness India

A full‑body harness is personal protective equipment designed to distribute fall forces across your shoulders, thighs, and pelvis. It connects to fall-arrest systems (like lanyards or lifelines) via D‑rings on the back (dorsal), front (sternal), or sides. When properly worn, it greatly reduces risk of injuries during a fall

  • Harnesses in India must comply with IS 3521 standards (latest: 2021 revision)。These are classified from A to E based on usage and attachment points

  • Class L: Ideal for tower/ladder climbing & fall arrest. Includes dorsal and possibly chest D‑rings, adjustable chest and thigh straps, and ~20 kN breaking strength

    • Webbing: Poly‑ or dope-dyed polyester, ≈44 mm wide, 20–25 kN strength

    • Tailored Fit: Multiple buckles and adjustable straps across shoulders, chest, and thighs.

    • Hardware: Zinc-plated or forged steel D‑rings and buckles, tested up to 15–25 kN

    • Additional Gear: Often paired with energy‑absorbing lanyards (2 m ropes/shock absorbers).
